Another dog food question?
Ok, this is part two to my earlier post asking about Iams. My mom has given me a job to find a dog food that is healthier and around the same price (no $60 innova.), so I have been doing a lot of research. How are these brands?:
Blue Buffalo
Avoderm
Bil-Jac
Hill’s Science Diet
Or any other foods that you can buy local in the USA, that aren’t higher than $45 for 30lbs. I’m the dog lover of my family and once I heard the cruel things about Iams (I heard they became unreliable after they sold out too) I wanted to switch foods. This may happen when we get a new dog, we will switch the other dog too (we won’t get another until our 10 years old GSD passes on, hope that day is long from now)
Also- some are suggesting diamond naturals. We are liking this food the best (for the price and it is “certified” whatever that means) and we know someone who has fed it before. How healthy is this food?
I’d choose Blue Buffalo over Avoderm.Bil-Jac & Science Diet are nothing but the worst food you can feed a dog.I had my dog on Science Diet & IAMS & some Beneful til last November.It’s full of fillers & by products.Defiantly not worth the price.I feed Halo’s Spot’s Stew.My dog does wonderfully on it.Taste of the Wild is another good brands.So is Nature’s Variety and Orijgen.I hear a lot of owners recommending these as well as Wellness Core,Wellness Super5Mix
